The digital electronic circuit for processing of coded numbers has a main circuit (10) formed by three coupled stages (10a, 10b, 10c). One of stages (10b) contains a four-bit arithmetic stage that can be switched between addition and subtraction functions. Number transfers are directed by a gating circuit together with a memory array. Values are stored in shift registers and the system is controlled by pulses generated by a separate circuit. The decimal point is moved with in the shift registers. ADVANTAGE - Improved arithmetic processing.
