The metal ball (3) is contained in a V-shaped angled tube with spring contacts (5) covered by plastics film (6) on the inner face. Tube ends are closed (9) and contain plastic foam inserts (4) to ensure good contact. Contacts are mounted on a post (7) with insulator spacers (8) and are coupled to an infra-red transmitter to send commands to a video game or computer when the contacts are actuated by metal ball.
