The ventilation fan has a mounting (3) supporting an electric fan motor (4) with the fan wheel (6) fitted to the motor shaft (5) at the rear of a suction plate (7) at right angles to the latter. The suction plate has a 2-part flow jet (8) concentric to the motor shaft, its outer edge (10) enclosed on both sides and in the radial direction by a seal (11) contained in a channel in the inside wall of the air-conditioning duct (1). The motor mounting (3) is supported in the air-conditioning duct via a shock absorber (14), with pref. both the shock absorber and the seal for the suction plate made of an elastic, vibration damping material. ADVANTAGE - Light-weight, low-cost fan with good vibration damping characteristics.
