The projection device has a rectangular housing coupling aluminium profiles, with a pair of in-line centre panels (9). The panels define two parallel cooling channels, between which the central light source (3) is located. Pref. a quadratic axial fan (4) is provided at each of the opposing outer ends of the cooling channels, the cooling flow directed inwards. The optical projection systems are pref. offset by 180 degrees.
