The machine is operated by a rider standing on a platform (6) above the frame (5). The front wheel (2) is steerable by means of handlebars (4b) on an upright tubular column (4a). The rear wheel (3) is coupled by the clutch (8) to the motor (7) on a pivotable lever (9) which is joined (9a) to a fixed bearing box (5a), to bring the motor-driven friction roller (7a) into contact with the rim of the wheel against the force of a return spring (9b). ADVANTAGE - The rider can free-wheel with the clutch disengaged, and can self-start the motor by engaging the clutch on the move, pref. by means of a pedal-operated lever (10).
