The transducer auxiliary stage incorporates an electromagnet-actuated rocker for varying the distance of the baffle plate from the nozzle whose air supply is connected (15) directly to the control surface (21) of the three-port three-position valve (20) of the main stage. The valve has two integrated plungers (26,27) working in opposite directions with springs (28,43) establishing three discrete valve settings corresp. to different pressure levels. An adjustable constriction (25) guarantees constancy of pressure supplied to the auxiliary stage. ADVANTAGE - Sufficient pneumatic power can be controlled with min. electrical energy consumption even in severe conditions of ambient temp. fluctuation, vibration and air pollution.
