The acoustic absorption plate contains sand grains, soaked in a bonding agent, forming interconnected air spaces between them. Tubes (5) are embedded in the plate to carry a flow medium to deliver or take-up heat. The tubes (5) are fitted within projecting ribs (4) on the side (2) of the plate opposite to the visible surface (1), to give a gap from the supporting wall or ceiling (3) and give mounting points. The tubes (5) are of plastics, with a dia. of about 2 mm. The bonding agent is an epoxy resin. USE/ADVANTAGE - The acoustic absorption plate material is for cladding walls and ceilings. The plate material is light, non-combustible, has a smooth visible surface, and can be used additionally as a heating and/or cooling unit.
