In order to simplify the installation of electrical service articles such as switches, plug sockets and similar apparatuses, especially of flush-mounted design, which are equipped with a perforated supporting plate on one of whose sides the electrical functional parts are mounted, which electrical functional parts project into a depression in a building wall in the installed state, the supporting plate areas which surround the perforation which is provided for the accessibility of the functional parts covering the opening edge region of the depression, an element is provided which can be placed onto the supporting plate, can be locked to it in a predetermined contact position and has a level (spirit level) which can be seen from the outside. The element has adjusting elements which project towards the supporting plate and engage in the supporting plate by means of recesses in the case of an element which rests against the free outside of the supporting plate. The level is arranged to be aligned in a predetermined manner with respect to the adjusting elements.
