Locating fibrous constructions in a gas phase infiltration plant - using solid flanges which are attached to fibrous body by feeding side walls into grooves in flanges

Fibrous bodies (17) are located inside a gas phase infiltration device (15) using solid flanges (13,19). The fibrous body is attached to the flange by feeding its side walls into grooves in the flanges and fixing with adhesive or sealing material (16). The upper flange is provided with screws (14) to attach it to the roof of the device (15). USE/ADVANTAGE - To produce fibre reinforced bodies by decomposing a gas to form a matrix inside the fibrous body. Is simple means of fixing the body inside the device without harming it.
