The laser exposure unit (1) contains a mirror head which rotates at 12000 to 20000 rev/min. and a longitudinal threaded spindle driven by a stepping motor. An electronics unit (2) has a mains transformer, power pack, memory and motor-driven cooling fan is installed in a trolley with castors (11) movable on a separate platform (7). The frame (12) of the exposure unit is completed by a front cover (14) leaving replaceable storage media (15) freely accessible. ADVANTAGE - Mechanical sepn. of laser exposure unit and electronics unit prevents mutual excitation and transmission of vibrations, and improves accessibility of both units for rapid diagnosis and maintenance.
