Variable spectral analysis for optical character recognition - using mathematical modelling and look=up table

The method for optical character recognition consists of the following steps: a) generation of a Transformation matrix (B) with a set of p parameters, to operate on X(Ci) vectors which represent a quantity of text {Ci}, generation of a function F, where for each text symbol of the quantity {Ci} the value of a set of optimal parameters is chosen to minimise the function. Step b involves storing an optimal set of parameters in a look=up table. Then, c-d involves optically scanning a text and generating a vector by digitising and processing. Step e provides a second function G which uses the LUT to calculate G. USE/ADVANTAGE - Optical character recognition using signal processing techniques.
