A cyclodextrin-contg. polymer (e.g. polysiloxane, block copolymer or smectic phase), has a chiral cyclodextrin derivative bonded to a polymer chain. It is immobilised on a smooth or porous surface of a carrier material (immobilised CHIRASIL-DEX). Also claims chromatographic separation or selective detection processes using the claimed material. ADVANTAGE - Greater stability without loss of selectivity.
