In cleaning the inner chambers of engines or internal combustion engines, a mixt. of paraffinic hydrocarbons and a suspension is used, to ensure running of the bearing. The mixt. pref. contains 50-95 (70) wt.% of paraffinic hydrocarbons, and the suspension is a suspension of MoS2 or a synthetic heavy duty lubricating oil. USE/ADVANTAGE - Application is esp. in all Otto and diesel engines, and also fouled gearboxes and differentials. Greater efficiency is obtd. without alteration in cleaning technique, oil and fuel consumption is reduced, inadequate lubrication and engine damage are avoided, the engine runs more quietly, more cleanly and with less abrasion, the exhaust is less damaging, and the catalyst honeycomb is not affected.
