Front hitch with PTO for tractor - has PTO shaft in subframe slung between front chassis members of tractor to protect PTO shaft from collision damage

The subframe holds a gearing (2) which couples the drive shaft from the engine to the PTO output shaft (1). The subframe is mounted between the front chassis members (3) of the tractor with the PTO shaft inside the outline of the tractor. A hitch frame (50) on the front of the subframe is operated by a servo ram (7) mounted on the subframe. The attachment coupling is operated by the hitch frame and a tilting coupling plate (6) on the top of the subframe. The main part of the gearing is protected inside the tractor chassis. USE/ADVANTAGE - The protected mounting of the front PTO on a tractor allows simple fitting of attachments without danger of damaging the PTO shaft.
