Safeguarding device against ozone emissions for ozone-generating and/or ozone-destroying devices

The invention relates to a safeguarding device against ozone emissions for ozone-generating and/or ozone-destroying devices, which contains an electric conductor made from an easily oxidizable material and an electric circuit. Said conductor is integrated in said circuit, and at least a section of it is exposed to the exhaust air of the respective device and it is progressively destroyed in this case as a consequence of oxidation by the action of ozone. In this case, the circuit is designed in such a way that in the event of complete destruction of the section of the conductor a signal is triggered which prompts maintenance of the respective device. In the event of reduced functional capability, the safeguarding device forms a technically simple and cost effective solution for the purpose of avoiding permanent, impermissibly high ozone emissions into the ambient air.
