Bolt-firing tool having a safety device for preventing accidental firing

A pneumatically operated bolt-firing tool has a safety device which prevents a triggering lever from being accidentally manipulated. The tool has a nail guide which is movably arranged above a point guide. There is provided a movable segment with a pipe-like portion and an arm portion integral therewith. The pipe-like portion is movably arranged in the nail guide and the arm portion is movably arranged in a slot of the nail guide. The arm portion is connected to the safety arm, the end portion of which can be brought into engagement with the triggering lever. There is provided a spring to push the safety arm in one direction to maintain an engagement between the end portion and the triggering lever. If the nail introduced into the nail guide is pressed onto the workpiece, the pipe-like portion moves counter to the prestressing force of the spring, so that the end portion of the safety arm is uncoupled from the triggering lever, whereupon the triggering lever can be actuated.
