A filter arrangement for airborne particle filters comprises a zigzag-folded filter medium (1) with spacers (2) arranged between the fold plies. At the folding areas (4) against which the front edges (3) of the spacers (2) bear, the filter medium (1) is impregnated in a wear-resistant manner with a permanently elastic reinforcing material, for example an elastomeric plastic. Inter alia, this allows the use of spacers without edge protection, and the operating behaviour of the filter is also improved due to optimised flow properties and wear properties of the filter medium in the inlet flow regions.
