The synchronous motor has a stator (12) which surrounds a rotor (16) supporting a permanent magnet (18). It is connected to a driveshaft (5) in a rotationally fixed manner, via a connecting part (23). In order to complete the magnetic flux circuit, a part (21,21'), fixed to the housing, is arranged inside the rotor. The connecting part (23) consists of a magnetic material and is arranged such that the magnetic flux also runs through the connecting part (23). In consequence, the connecting part (23) adds to the creation of torque. The synchronous motor according to the invention can thus produce a correspondingly high torque at a specified power. IMAGE
