The equipment includes a base (3) resting on the ground, supporting two platforms (4) on which the user stands. A mechanism is provided to move the platforms either upwards and simultaneously forwards, or downwards and simultaneously backwards. They may also work jointly in a rotary movement simulating walking. The platforms are support by ramps (5) attached to fixed pivot points (11) on the base. The platforms are fastened to double shaft jacks which can move along slides attached to the ramps. A programmable control system with sensors controls the movement of the platforms.
