On-site continuous mercury-in-air analyser - using flamelss atomic absorption and drawing air into stannous chloride reagent bottle

The analyser provides on site mercury in air analyses using flameless atomic absorption. Air is drawn from a variable height sampling tube into a stannous chloride reagent bottle liberating neutral mercury which is passed through a mercury vapour lamp measurement cell. Mercury in the air leaving the analysis cabinet is trapped on active charcoal. The reagent is changed daily. USE/ADVANTAGE - For monitoring mercury levels in the atmos. Faster, cheaper and more reliable results than with discrete samples sent to a laboratory for analysis.
