Atomic absorption analyser heating sample to produce atomic vapour with separate heating and measurement sections

This is a new atomic absorption analyser. A sample is heated, producing an atomic vapour forming the sample gas. The degree of light absorption by this gas is measured. The novel apparatus has a heating section (30) producing the atomic vapour. A separate measurement section (34) is connected to it. Here the vapour is received, and the light absorption measurement is made.
