The miniature microphone is mounted on the end of a fine rod that may be positioned in front of the user's mouth. The rod is fixed at one end to a band of reinforced elastic material by a block. The elastic material forms part of the headband. At the other end of the rod is a microphone which is locatable in front of user. ADVANTAGE - Avoids problems of current designs, such as those using ears for support which preempt sudden movements of head.
