The rear-mounted engine (42), with high-set air intakes (18) and outlets (30), drives wheels or a propeller (24) in a tunnel into which water is directed by retractable shutters (21). Separately controllable water outlets (38) provide steering. Doors (13) are top-hinged. A roof-light doubles as an escape hatch. Along a line (25) crossing the rear roof and extending rearwards on each side, the coachwork is slightly depressed to form a seating for the front of the aircraft conversion structure. The latter comprises a rear fuselage, with passenger accommodation and tail surfaces, and twin engined monoplane wings. This detachable structure is fixed rigidly to the vehicle body. Wing struts are also fitted. Opt., the structure may include helicopter main and tail rotors. USE - Multi-function vehicle. Double triangulation suspensions are adjustable in height and stiffness.
