Prefabricated unit, partic. a portable, ready to use shower/toilet unit is produced by forming an internal envelope (8) incorporating the accessories and made by moulding to equip existing facilities. The envelope (8) is defined by the walls of an enclosure made from a composite forming a filled core (10) and an internal finishing skin(11) of different nature; joined together during moulding by means of integral mechanial connections (12) e.g. a weave (13) of rovings of non-twisted fibre glass forming projecting loops (14) from the weave or weft to anchor the moulding to the composite core. USE/ADVANTAGE - Prefabricated sanitary units for refurbishment of existing facilites or building of new ones. The moulding gives light weight compared to concrete and easy clean hygenic surfaces.
