The two branches (2a,b) of an elbow support are connected about a cylindrical bar (3) and include curved arm plates (4,5). A locking nut (7) connects a tube (8b) carrying a semicircular metal plate (8), to an L-shaped shaft (6) which is lockable into a hole (3a) in the cylindrical bar connecting the elbow support members. A second tube (10b) is secured to the semicircular plate by a slider (10) which moves along the plate. An extension (10c) of this tube is attached to a U-shaped centring shaft (12) or a bar (13) supporting an implant (14) allowing control of the angle of inclination of the humerus.
