An arrangement for reinforcement and permanent shuttering particularly for bridge decks, consists of site assembling factory made modular units (2). Each unit comprises reinforcing steel fixed to the shutter (4) with bolted connectors. Rectangular modules are assembled side by side, spanning the full width of the structure between the main beams. Each unit consists of main bars (6,7) longways with secondary stirrups (8) binding them. The shuttering of sheets contributes to the strength of the finished structure. The overlapping shutters may be welded together or have main steel overlapping and connected with additional bars. USE/ADVANTAGES - Standardisation of units reduces site costs of labour, steelfixing and stocking.
