Tool for the electrochemical treatment of the inside surface of a tube (1) either straight or with several curves (2,3,4) comprising an extended flexible electrode (6) with supports (7) in the tube to be treated. The supports are made of an insulating material and are distributed along the length of at least part of the electrode. The electrode and the tube to be treated are connected to a generator of electric current. The electrode is strengthened with electrically conducting bracings (15), each of which is between two successive supports, and abutments (7c,15a) at its ends. Also claimed is an installation containing at least two of the above tools, with the electrolyte outflow from one tool connected to the electrolyte inflow of the other. USE/ADVANTAGE - The electrochemical treatment of the inside surface of straight or curved pipes. The electrode is flexible an can therefore be used in the treatment of tubes with bends in them, without risk of short circuits.
