The domestic heating system comprises a heat exchanger circuit, with a compressor (121) sending the heat transfer fluid through a single condenser tube (122). This is between 6 and 16mm in internal diameter. The condenser is then linked to an evaporator which comprises two circuits (123,124) connected in parallel. In a large installation, four evaporator loops may be used in conjunction with two condenser loops. ADVANTAGE - The structure simplifies the connections required for the system, and enables the condenser coils to be embedded in the floor of the building to be heated. The design allows the components to be positioned for maximum efficiency.
