A portable footbridge for crossing waterways consists of a series of units (1,2,3,4), the first (1) having two main beams (5,6) and crossbeams (7,8), the secondary ones (2,3,4) with a lower crossbeam (12,17,22) only. The box section main beams (10,15,20) of secondary units are progressively smaller to slide inside preceding unit. Square mesh (9) is fixed on one side of main unit and at bottom only of others. The end units (1,4) are connected with chains (26,30), one (4) having holes (33) in beams for anchor pins (34). All units slide into one another and fit in a carrying case with handle and strap. USE/ADVANTAGES - Light, takes up little space and good for crossing quite wide waterways.
