The road trailer (1) is carried on a longitudinal beam (3), pivoting at one end (7) on a railway bogie (6). This end and the other beam end have couplings (4,5). A retractable roller (11) is fixed near the second end (8), distant from the bogie. The trailer is supported (10) and locked at the bogie beam end. First and second couplings may be complementary and automatic. The retractable roller may be mounted on a lifting stand (9), possibly rolling on a third rail, between two main rails. The longitudinal metal beam may be inserted between chassis beams. ADVANTAGE - Simple, capable of carrying different designs of trailer. Bogies may couple end to end, for returning empty.
