The shower cabinet consists of a floor-level basin (7) to collect and remove the used water, at least one fixed panel (1) with a free upper edge, and a moving panel (9) which is able to pivot about a vertical axis (10), in line with its centre through approximately 180 degrees. The moving panel has a seat (13) on one side and a wash basin (14) on the other, while the inner wall (6) of the cabinet has a handrail which enables the user to rotate the pivoted panel while sitting on the seat. The interior walls (5, 6) of the cabinet can be formed from the fixed walls of the room in which it is located, while the outer fixed panel (1) can be curved in shape and made from plastics with metal vertical supports (2, 3, 4). ADVANTAGE - Easy to install and suitable for use by both handicapped and able-bodied people.
