The treatment unit consists of a tank (4) with an inlet (5) and outlet (6), contg. a series of permanent magnets (1) which are fitted with gaps (2) between them in a holder (3) separating the inlet (4/1) and outlet (4/2) sides of the tank. The magnets can be parallelepiped in shape, of various dimensions or in sections, positioned so that the water flows past the magnets perpendicular to the axis of the magnetic flux. The magnets can be in the form of electromagnets, two or more in number, with sufficient spaces between for the water to flow through without pressure. USE/ADVANTAGE - Simple design and operation.
