The method includes forming a device for left or right handed operation of domestic appliance doors. The door is connected to frame by individual detachable hinge pins (13,14) on either side of door. The door can be detached from frame by lifting at each hinge pin individually, and the procedure is reversed for assembly. The hinge pins slide on spring loaded cams (21,31) situated at ends of arms (20,30) which are pivotable w.r.t another pin (15) which is connected to the door w.r.t which it pivots. There is a plate (40) with manoeuvring finger (41), hinge plates (60,70) with stops (61,71) pivoting w.r.t another pin (16) connected to the door.The arms with security lugs (22,32) and the plate (40) are manoeuvrable by handles (23,33) and by a pusher (42) which in combination with the action of the springs (24,34) comes to rest against the ends of the cams (21,31). USE/ADVANTAGES - Fast and easy changing from left to right hand opening and vice versa.
