The retaining assembly (6), holding the derailleur gear, comprises a movable casing (2) which slides laterally (D1 - D2) relative to the holding axle attached to a fixing leg (2). This displaces the chain from one pinion to another. The casing (]2) has a cylindrical internal peg which engages by sliding in an internal cylindrical axial housing in the axle (16). The assembly has compression springs (25) in housings (30,34) which assist the casing towards the exterior (EX) to be supported against the head of an adjusting screw (14). The threaded end of the screw has a retaining nut (22) fixed to the retaining axle. USE - Simple position adjustment of derailleur gear.
