The invention relates to a product making it possible to improve the visual effect produced by lighters lit in public, at the same time eliminating the risks of fire or burns. It consists of a handle (1) on which there is a translucent and coloured lid (5) and (6) and a trigger (4) forming part of the lid (5). When the user presses on the trigger (4) the latter causes, via a lever (3), deformation of a metal plate (7) which makes contact between the lamp (8) and a battery (9) and produces light.
