PURPOSE: To provide mixed particles capable of preparing a film having an improved mechanical property, especially elasticity. ;CONSTITUTION: In this mixed particle formed by encapsulating silica in a film- formable polymer matrix, the matrix is chemically bonded with surfaces of silica by Si-O-Si siloxane bonding. In this method for preparing the mixed particle, a polymerizable org. (co-) monomer is (co-) polymerized in the presence of silica of particulate state, and the silica is previously functionalized at its surfaces by an adequate organosilane.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO
