PURPOSE:To permit a vehicle to stop safely even when at least one of the brakes of front and rear wheels is damaged, by providing a brake serving as a parking and emergency brake with a portion of a power system and actuating it in the time of emergencies. CONSTITUTION:A brake 10 serving as a parking and emergency brake (disc brake) is provided with the input shaft of a differential gear connected with the rear end of a propeller shaft for transmitting engine power to rear wheels. In addition, relay valves 21, 21'; 24, 24' are provided with brake main pipings 17, 17' coming from respective chambers 181, 182 of a tank, the relay valves being opened and closed by an emergency brake valve 19 via pilot pipings 20, 20'; 23, 23'. Air in a wet tank 25 is introduced into the respective pilot pipings 20, 20'; 23, 23' via the emergency brake valve 19. A switching valve 41 is turned to a drain position 412 at the time when the valve 19 is opened to actuate the brake 10 for applying a braking force.
