PURPOSE:To cope with a magnetic card having various azimuth angles by providing an insertion hole being an adjusting means fitted with a magnetic head in such a way that the direction of the gap of the magnetic head is varied freely to a main body and changing the fitting direction of the magnetic head. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic head supporting member 16 is fitted to a guide plate 8 so as to be turned freely by loosening a screw 19. Moreover, the other end of the member 16 is formed with teeth 20 and a pinion gear 21 formed with teeth meshing witgh teeth 20 is fitted to a shaft 22. Furthermore, a hole 23 is formed to the guide plate 8 so that the tip of the shaft 22 is penetrated. A magnetic head 23 is fitted in the member 16 and a magnetic gap 24 is formed. An azimuth angle theta of a data recorded on a magnetic recording part 3 of the magnetic card 2 and an angle of the card 2 with the running direction of the card 2 are equal to each other by turning the shaft 22. Thus, the titled writer/ reader copes with the magnetic card having various angles.
