Deodorization equipment of the condenser of the water chamber of the steam turbine

PURPOSE:To enhance the safety of work and working environment at the time of the periodic repairing of a seawater cooling system by connecting a deodorizing apparatus consisting of a deodorizing chamber packed with a deodorant, a ventilation fan and a continuous duct to a malodor generating source. CONSTITUTION:The deodorizing devices 11 in a seawater cooling system are provided to the water chambers 2,3 on the seawater inlet and outlet sides of the condenser 1 of a turbine. Each of the deodorizing devices 11 is constituted of four deodorizing chambers 12 packed with a deodorant, four ventilation fans 13 and the ducts 14 connecting them and provided with a system changing- over butterfly valve 15. Manholes 16 are provided to the respective water chambers of the condenser 1 at two upper and lower places and the ducts 14 are provided to the upper manholes 15 through extensible bellows 17. At the time of the operation of the deodorizing devices 11, the lower manholes 16 are opened and ventilation air is sucked from said manholes 16. Further, a deodorizing solution sprinkler 18 equipped with an injection pump 18A and piping 18B is provided and a liquid deodorant is sprinkled to each of the water chambers from the tank 19 thereof.
