PURPOSE: To enable a peritoneoscopic instrument and an electrode assembly used therefor to partially disinfect a hand piece and to improve a capability of recycling comparing to those of conventionals. CONSTITUTION: An electric conductive body 20 passes from an electrode 12E through a shaft to a contact on a mounting part 12M provided for connecting with a high frequency source. The mounting part is arranged so as to be rotatable in a housing with a hand piece 10 which is in an unrotatable state and has a shape so called housing which is suitable for equipping on a sleeve fixed to the shaft 12S. The electrode, the shaft, the components of the conductive body and the sleeve are formed so as to be rotatable around the axis of the shaft in relative to the housing and the contact.
