PURPOSE: To remarkably carry out labor saving in a series of operations such as hanging of fresh leaves followed by drying of leaf tobacco and taking-down of dried leaves. ;CONSTITUTION: When fresh leaves hang, a hanger 18 containing tobacco leaves packaged on a leaf-packaging work table E is temporarily hung on a hanging rack G hung on a temporary hanging rack D arranged in the vicinity of the work table and the hanging rack G is carried into a drying chamber A using a lifting and lowering rack C together with the hanging rack G and a guide rail of the lifting and lowering rack is lifted and lowered. Thereby the hanger can be hung to a required hanging rail 1 of the drying chamber together with the rack.
