MG2SI PARTICLE REINFORCED AL ALLOY AND PRODUCTION THEREOF

摘要

PURPOSE: To produce a high strength and high ductility Al alloy by specifying the average particle diameter of proeutectic Mg₂Si. ;CONSTITUTION: A particle shape is imparted to proeutectic Mg₂Si in an Mg₂Si particle reinforced Al alloy and the average particle diameter (d) of the proeutectic Mg₂Si is regulated to ≤10μm. When the liquidus line temp. and the eutectic temp. in the binary phase diagram of Al-Mg₂Si giving a eutectic are expressed by TL and TE, respectively, the compsn. of the alloy is limited to the range satisfying TL-TE≥80°C. The objective Al alloy reinforced with fine particle-shaped proeutectic Mg₂Si is obtd.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
