Canned inspection equipment and canned inspection method

PURPOSE: To determine pass/fail of a canned product by blowing high pressure fluid to a canned product to be inspected and deforming the canned product, detecting at least one of noise or vibration after stoppage of blowing operation, and then comparing data thus obtained with reference data. ;CONSTITUTION: An air compressor 3 blows compressed air to the central part of the cover part 17 of a canned product 15 to be inspected through a switching valve 6 and a blowing nozzle 7. When recovering from deformation after stoppage of blowing operation, noise and vibration are produced and the noise is detected through a microphone 19. On the other hand, a control/decision means 23 is stored with a reference data. The reference data is obtained by previously subjecting a normal canned product 15 to similar test and the data represents frequency spectrum distribution of the normal canned product 15. The inspection data is compared with the reference data and the means 23 determines pass/fail of the canned product 15 to be inspected. This method performs a predetermined inspection for a canned product made of any material in a very short time without leaving any inspection mark.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
