PURPOSE: To obtain a cell cycle gene composed of a human-derived gene capable of supressively controlling transition from the imagochrysalis of cell cycle to the mitotic period, having a specified base sequence and useful for development of a next generation artificial organism and clarification of canceration mechanism of cell. ;CONSTITUTION: This cell cycle gene is a human-derived gene having the amino acid sequence of the formula and capable of supressively controlling transition from the imagochrysalis of cell cycle to the mitotic period. In addition, if the cell cycle gene is manifested, a mitotic inhibitory factor for cell having the amino acid sequence of the formula can be obtained. Further, this cell cycle gene is obtained, e.g. by introducing a human-derived cDNA library inserted into cloning vector pcD-X together with yeast vector pAL19 into a fission yeast Weel mutant, selecting it by using a nutrient marker, subsequently selecting a transformed yeast strain capable of growing even at high temperatures and recovering human cDNA clone therefrom.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
