PURPOSE: To provide a method for calibrating the specific gravity measurement of urine, measured through a urine measuring apparatus, with high accuracy without keeping a patient waited. ;CONSTITUTION: Urine thrown into a urine throw-in part 13 is introduced into a capillary tube 20 and the quantity of urine is measured by means of a moving level sensor 25. At the same time, a sample valve 27 is opened and the urine is introduced to a specific gravity sensor 28 where the specific gravity of urine is detected. Subsequently, city water is fed through a pipe 34 to the capillary tube 20 and the specific gravity sensor 28 in order to clean the urine path. At the same time, the specific gravity of city water is measured by means of the sensor 28 and used for calibrating the measurement of specific gravity of urine.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
