A major objective of the International Space Station is to provide a premier microgravity research platform. However, there are many components throughout the station that produce forces which are transmitted through the structure and into the experiments. A major disturber in the station is the Urine Processor Assembly. In order to characterize this disturbance, acceleration data was obtained from the assembly as it was run through its operational cycle. In addition, transfer functions were obtained by impedance testing. Using this data, support forces were calculated and used to assess the impact of the urine processor on the space station microgravity environment.
