摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain the title polymer of extremely narrow molecular weight distribution, having high degree of syndiotacticity, outstanding in stereoregulating, by polymerization of a methacrylic ester using a specific polymerization initiator. CONSTITUTION:The objective polymer can be obtained by polymerization of a methacrylic ester using, as the polymerization initiator, a combination of an organoaluminum compound [e.g., (CH3)3Al] and t-buthyllithium. The combination ratio for the initiator is pref. so as to be =3.0 molar times the t- butyllithium, of the organoaluminum compound.
