PURPOSE:To form a film of a metallic tone on the surface of synthetic resin molding, by a method wherein a molten synthetic resin material with which metallic powder has been kneaded is injected within a cavity and the metallic powder is settled and unevenly distributed on one side of the molding by oscillating an ultrasonic wave prior to its solidification. CONSTITUTION:A hopper 2 of an injection molding machine 1 is filled with a synthetic resin material C obtained by adding metallic powder A to thermoplastic synthetic resin B, which is extruded within a cavity 8 of a mold 7 through a heated mouth piece 6. Then an ultrasonic wave is generated partly by an ultrasonic wave oscillator 9 constituted outside of the mold 7 and an ultrasonic vibration is transmitted within the mold 7. The ultrasonic vibration is transmitted to conductive parts 9a, 9b by vibrating them through the synthetic resin material C and the metallic powder A being dispersed uniformly within the synthetic resin material C is settled and unevenly distributed partly on a movable mold 7b surface side on the inside of the synthetic resin material C. With this construction, as a layer containing a metal can be formed on the surface side of synthetic resin molding, electrification to its surface side becomes possible and electroplating treatment can be performed.
