PURPOSE: To provide a view finder for video camera, to/from which a protection cover to prevent flowing of pollutants can be attached and detached, and a video camera provided with this view finder. CONSTITUTION: A view finder 16 for video camera includes a lens 24 which magnifies an image, a housing 26 incorporating the lens 24, an eyecup 28 set to the housing 26, and a protection cover 32 which is detachably set to the eyecup and prevents pollutants from flowing into the view finder 16. A camera lens cap is provided with one or more pairs of engaging projections which can engage the protection cover during photographing.
