PURPOSE: To provide a combined use type rice transplanter for both a well-drained paddy field and a paddy field, capable of readily carrying out a rice transplanting work both in a paddy field and a well-drained paddy field by using only one rice transplanter and readily switching a paddy field work to a well-drained paddy field work. ;CONSTITUTION: To the machine frame of a rice transplanter 21 set through an elevator mechanism to a riding type running car body 1, a rotary furrow opener 41 for making an opened furrow in the untilled ground in front of a position where a seedling transplanting unit 25 of this rice transplanter 21 performs a transplanting operation in a well-drained paddy field at a point of time of transplanting is elevatably attached. Both a float 27 for coming into contact with the soil surface of the field, receiving a part of the weight of the machine body and grading the soil surface and a rotary ground contact wheel 36 for coming into contact with the soil surface, receiving a part of the weight of the machine body in the same manner as in the float and rotating are designed so as be switched from a contact state in which they are in contact with the soil surface to a floating state in which they are floating from the soil surface, respectively. The vertical motion of the rotary furrow opener 41 is linked to the vertical motion of the above-mentioned rotary ground contact wheel 36 and both the vertical motions are performed through a single control operation mechanism in the same vertical direction.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
